Dr Sylvia completed her medical degree from James Cook University in 2017. She has completed her hospital training years through various departments and completed her advanced skills training in Paediatrics at Redland Hospital in Brisbane.

Having recently completed her General Practice training through the RACGP (The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) in practices at Bundaberg and Childers, she has moved to Caloundra as a GP specialist and looks forward to meeting her new patients.

Sylvia enjoys all aspects of General practice with a keen focus on preventative health and holistic care. Her special interests include Neonatal, Paediatrics and Women’s Health including Implanon insertion/removal.

She grew up in Brisbane but has fallen in love with our beautiful coast. When not at work, she enjoys the beach walks and cycling along the coast with her husband.
Dr Sylvia Shrestha will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is welcoming new patients.

Dr Strestha joins our practice in April 2023.
